I've been going through changes this year in terms of thinking about my future. Ever since I graduated college, I've thought about my life in terms of finding some magical on-ramp of success, after which I'd be free to coast on the highway, windows down, until I crashed and died. That's the model we have of success as artists: burn bright, burn early, and burn out.
