I keep accidentally watching Robert Newton movies. This winter, I watched Odd Man Out, where he plays an unhinged artist who can only paint religious figures with googly eyes. Then I saw Oliver Twist, in which he delivers a drink-sodden, DTs-ridden Bill Sikes. Recently, I stumbled upon the curious noir Obsession, featuring yet another Newton performance.
